Time to get cozy

January and February are for hibernation. Seriously, who remembers it being so cold? This author has nearly wiped out on more than one occasion during the journey to school in the mornings. Good thing that we have a book fair upon the horizon, so that we have an excuse to put our reading socks on, light a fire, and hide under a blanket.

Our very own Tuscan published author

Kindergarten teacher Claire Sinclair is, as many of you know,  a published children’s author! To kick off the Book Fair, she has recorded a read along (just for Tuscan families!) of her book The Mice Who Came To Story Time, here. You can purchase her book locally at Words Bookstore or on Amazon, here.

Get reading

The annual Tuscan Book Fair will open tomorrow (yipee!) and will run until February 6. Here is a link to the e-fair. Families will also have an opportunity to purchase books for our teachers’ wish lists, which you can access here. If you purchase any books for teachers, please be sure to mark the wish list accordingly. In addition to buying great books, your support will earn the PTA “Scholastic Bucks” – which we can use to buy even more books for our classrooms and the Tuscan library.

Here’s what you missed

The minutes from the January PTA meeting are now live. Curious about what was discussed? You can access the minutes here. The next meeting is on February 9.

Make the fair happen

Planning for this year’s Tuscan Fair is fully underway. The annual event is back again this year. We need volunteers to help make it happen, but also to shadow this year’s main organizers with a view to taking over the lead next year. This could be you! Interested? Get in touch by emailing TuscanPTAPres@gmail.com.

For 2022

We need your stories! We want to know what’s happening in and around the school. Who is doing something wonderful? We want to write about it! Get in touch via TuscanSchoolPTA@gmail.com

Join us! Meet us!

Please join the PTA - we’d love to have you. We’ve upgraded our platform designed for PTAs, which will make it easier for you to use and us to operate. Instructions for how to sign up can be found here, but even if you don’t join the PTA (please, please join!), it’s still important to sign up for an account on our new site so that you can have access to information you’ll need.
