SUBJECT: PTA Newsletter 3/6

Folks! It’s teacher conference week, and you know what that means? YUP! THREE HALF DAYS! And breathe. Don’t forget that March 9-11 are all half days, with school dismissing at 12:45pm. This means there will be no lunch at school, so pack extra hearty snacks.

To mask or not to mask…

… this is what the District is asking you! Have a strong feeling about your kiddo wearing a mask at school? Maybe you don’t! Either way, please take the time to input into SOMSD’s survey. Access that here

Help with recess

Sshhhh don’t tell anyone, but we *think* the weather is getting warmer, which means recess is mostly going to be held outdoors. And to ensure the safety of our Tuscan Tigers, the school is looking for parent/guardian volunteers to take a shift or two. We’re also hoping this will flip the switch on allowing classes in adjacent play areas to play together. Interested? More info is here.

Serving up another course

The food drive has been extended to Tuesday, so if you think you’ve missed it, you haven’t! By way of a reminder, we are collecting the following items:

Kindergarten - Low Sugar Cereal

First - Boxed Milk

Second - Tuna Fish/Canned Meat

Third - Peanut Butter

Fourth - Rice

Fifth - Oatmeal
