Parent volunteers are an amazing base of support for Tuscan School! Tuscan has actively involved, supportive and generous parents and the Tuscan PTA works closely with the school to provide enriching experiences for Tuscan’s children. If you are interested in the opportunity to join us as a Tuscan School Outdoor Recess/Lunch Parent Volunteer, please see Guidelines below.

Tuscan School Outdoor Recess/Lunch Parent Volunteers are expected to"

Report to school safety staff to sign in and receive badge
Be fully vaccinated
Be alert to observe and redirect any pedestrian attempting to walk through Tuscan School parking lot or playground while students are outdoors for Recess
Remain in assigned location and focused on children to monitor all students during outdoor Recess
Picture taking and videotaping are prohibited during Recess/Lunch (it is best to keep your cell phone put away)
Remind students to:
- Follow good hand and respiratory hygiene practices by washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer:
  - when coming in Café from recess, before eating
  - after eating
  - after using the bathroom
  - after blowing nose/coughing/sneezing o Follow the No sharing/trading food safety practice
- Follow the No sharing/trading food safety practice
Return to school safety staff to sign sign out and return badge

Though it might be tempting to play with your child and their friends at recess or sit and chat with your child at lunch, please remember that you are volunteering to help all the students and make sure recess and lunch is enjoyable for everyone!
