Fundraising is officially complete, and we’re thrilled to share that we raised over $13,000, surpassing our original $10,000 goal!
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, purchased fundraiser items, shared links, and supported our efforts throughout the year. Your generosity helped make this year's 5th Grade Fund a tremendous success.
Because of your support, we're able to provide a variety of special end-of-year celebrations and keepsakes for every 5th grader, including the pool party, roller skating event, Clap Out reception, lawn signs, commemorative t-shirts, certificates, yearbooks, and more.
As we get ready to celebrate our amazing 5th graders, here are the details for the upcoming end-of-year events:
Wednesday, June 3 — Roller Skating Party | 6:00–7:30 PM
Floral Park Roller Rink (192 Ridgedale Ave, Florham Park)
-
This is a private party for Tuscan 5th Graders only and there will not be an open skate at the same time as the party. PLEASE, no younger/older siblings or non-Tuscan/non-5th Grade friends.
-
Dinner and snacks will be provided. Dinner is a choice of either a pizza slice or a hot dog, plus a drink. Allergy/food sensitive kids: Please feel free to send your 5th Grade with their own food.
-
This is a drop-off event. Unless you’ve signed up to be a chaperone (thank you, parent volunteers!), feel free to drop off your kiddo and enjoy a little free time. Please plan to pick up promptly at 7:30 PM.
-
Skate rentals are included, but feel free to bring your own skates.
-
What you need to do: Save the date and coordinate transportation or carpool to and from the rink.
-
Volunteers: Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to help organize the crowd.
Monday, June 8 — Pool Party (Rain Date: Tuesday, June 9) | 11:30 AM–2:15 PM
Maplewood Community Pool
-
Lunch will be provided by Corner Slice pizza, and we’ll also have popcorn and snow cones! Students are also welcome to bring their own lunch.
-
What you need to do: Please make sure your kiddo arrives at school on time and ready to swim (bathing suit underneath their clothes). Bring a small drawstring*/tote bag, towel, sunscreen, water bottle, goggles (optional) and clothes if they would like to change out of a bathing suit at the pool. Students do not need to bring their regular backpack or laptop to school on this day.
-
Volunteers: Please meet us at the pool around 11:15am to help with set up and to greet the kids when they arrive.
-
*Teachers will distribute the Tuscan drawstring bags (provided by the 5th Grade fund) next week to the students - they are welcome to use this for the Pool Party!
Friday, June 12 — Tuscan Rainbow | 9:00 AM
Tuscan Elementary School
-
One of Tuscan’s favorite traditions! RED graduation shirts have been ordered and the teachers will pass them out to the students the morning of the picture. They can choose to put it over whatever they are wearing or change in the bathroom.
-
What you need to do: Nothing, for once!
Thursday, June 18 — Clap Out & Reception | 12:15–2:00 PM
Tuscan Elementary School
-
5th graders will begin exiting the building around 12:30 PM. We recommend families arrive by 12:15 PM to allow time for parking and finding a spot on the blacktop.
-
Following the Clap Out, families are invited to stay for a reception on the front lawn with lunch (sandwiches, wraps, and salad), ice cream, and refreshments! We will have lawn games, a DJ, and some fun photo ops with friends and family. This will be a fun way to close out our time together at Tuscan and we encourage everyone to plan to stay.
-
What you need to do: Save the date and arrive hungry!
ASAP — 5th Grade Lawn Sign Pick up
663 Prospect Street
-
What you need to do: If you haven’t received yours yet, 5th grade lawn signs are available for pickup on the porch at 663 Prospect St. Stop by anytime and take one.
-
Signs are covered by the 5th Grade Fund, and every 5th grader receives one at no cost.
-
If you are a multi home family, please contact us and we can provide a sign for each parent.
