Tuscan Celebrates Read Across America Week

February 28, 2022 - March 4, 2022!

Our theme of this year’s Read Across America Week celebration is

“Reading is Exciting, Reading Makes Us Smarter & Reading is Relaxing”

Reading can activate our imaginations and take us to exciting new places, enchanted lands, and even faraway galaxies. When we read, we can be detectives, explorers, and heroes.

Reading increases brain power. Regular reading can expand vocabulary and knowledge, improve focus, concentration, memory and learning capacity, foster creativity, empathy, new insights and different perspectives and boost confidence.

Reading for just six minutes can reduce stress, according to research. In fact, reading is more calming than listening to music or going on a walk! Curling up with a good book is one of life’s great joys — and relaxers.

Every day during the week of February 28, 2022 - March 4, 2022, we will be celebrating Read Across America Week with a different activity.
