Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year from your PTA President!

Hello, hello to our new Tuscan families, and welcome back to our returning families! We’re so happy you’re here.

I’d love to introduce our PTA executive board: Liz Hahn (VP), Erin Kouch (Treasurer), Jill Domanski (Secretary), and Lela Moore (Communications). You can read more about these wonderful humans here.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 1st, and starts at 9 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. Please come to the teacher’s lot for FREE coffee (hot and iced) after drop-off to hang out with me and your fellow Tuscan parents.

For new families, if your child doesn’t take the bus, our drop-off/pick-up area is located on the blacktop outside of the building. Look for your teacher’s and grade’s signs and line-up. Families with K-2 children must walk their children to the blacktop and remain with them until their teacher arrives. Parking a few blocks away and walking up to school is your best bet. The Green Drop-off/Pick-up Zone near the teacher’s lot is ONLY for Grades 3-5. For the safety and well-being of our students and staff, please follow our arrival/dismissal procedures here.

Back-to-School Night is Thursday, September 17th from 6:30 - 8 PM. Come and get a chance to see where the magic happens, hear from our incredible teachers, and sit in your Tiger’s tiny desk chair! This is an early dismissal day, ending at 1 PM. Make sure to sign up for childcare through the YMCA here.

Friday, September 18th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM is our Pizza & Ice Cream Social. Your Tiger can play with their new classmates, hang out at school “at night” (always cool), plus dinner and dessert is solved! Read all about it here.

Join us and make your voice heard at our monthly PTA meetings, which will be every 3rd Wednesday of the month. PTA meetings will be held at 12:15 PM, alternating between the Tuscan library (with an option to join virtually) and Google Meet. Our first meeting is Wednesday, September 16th in the library. Please join in-person or virtually. Our administration and teacher liaisons attend, provide an overview of Tuscan happenings, answer questions, and listen to feedback.

We would love for you to become a member of the PTA! Create an account and join for $10. Once you register, you can opt-in to our weekly newsletter, purchase Spirit Wear, sign-up for volunteer opportunities, and receive communications. Your membership supports our student programs, assemblies, activities, subsidizes field trips, and funds teacher grants, and wishlists. It also allows us to pay for event staples like the Farmer’s Market, Book Fair, Tuscan Show, Tuscan Fair, and Teacher Appreciation Week. Your involvement makes a huge impact, not only in your children’s education, but in our community. We have open committees that need leadership, and volunteers can sign up here. And want to be the liaison between your Tiger’s teacher and your classroom’s caregivers? Be a class coordinator! Class coordinator sign-ups will be live on 9/2!
