The Tuscan School Outdoor Lunch Plan is designed to maintain student health and safety by avoiding large and unmasked gatherings in the cafeteria during the COVID-19 pandemic. To provide all Tuscan students with a safe outdoor lunch space, when weather permits, the Tuscan School Outdoor Lunch Plan maximizes the use of all available outdoor space to the greatest extent possible. The Tuscan Café and designated classrooms will only be used when absolutely necessary. You can find full details of the plan here.

To ensure a safe, cohorted (by classroom) and supervised Recess/Lunch experience for Tuscan’s children, district lunch monitors and parent volunteers will be assigned to keep watchful eyes on students, in multiple outdoor locations around Tuscan School.

A few things to note:

At this time, only parents and guardians will be able to volunteer.
Parent volunteers are required to be vaccinated and wear a mask.
Volunteers should arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the lunch period and report directly to the teacher's parking lot and find Ms. Majeed, Mr. Bertani or Nurse Thompson.
Parent volunteers will only be needed when lunch is held outdoors. Per the inclement weather guidelines provided by SOMSD, lunch will be held indoors when it is raining, snowing or under ~52 degrees.

Tuscan Lunch Schedule:

11:30am-11:55am - 2nd grade

11:55am-12:20pm - 3rd grade

12:20pm-12:45pm - 5th grade

12:45pm-1:10pm - 1st grade

1:10pm-1:35pm - 4th grade

1:35pm-2:00pm - Kindergarten
