REMEMBER! Beyond the Bell starts this week, on Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17, and it goes from 3:15-4:25pm. Pick up this time around will be a little old-school and happen directly from the classroom! Below is a comprehensive guide to where you should find your TT.

Tuscan Celebrates Read Across America

Every day during the week of February 27 - March 3, 2023, we will be celebrating Read Across America Week with a different activity. There are a number of ways your TT can show their love of reading. Here you go!

Monday: Come dressed as your fave character from a book, or in your fave outfit or whatever makes you feel good!

Tuesday: Wear animal print or an animal-themed t-shirt to show how wild you are about reading!

Wednesday: Wear your PJs to school, because, you know, reading is relaxing. 

Thursday: Dress in your workout clothes because reading is active and inspiring. Guess what?! There will be a school-wide “drop everything and read” where everyone stops what they’re doing and reads a book for 20 mins. WHAT!!! Fun!

Friday: Come dressed as your fave superhero or in your fave Tuscan gear. 

Added bonus: On Friday, the reading train will make a comeback. At 2:45 p.m., every grade will sit in the hallway and read for 10 minutes. The joy!

The Tuscan Book Fair is Back! Live and In Person!

The Tuscan Book Fair returns, live and in person, from Monday, March 6 through Wednesday, March 8! Get a head start by setting up your child's eWallet now! This is the easiest way for them to buy books at the fair. 

Click here, then scroll down to eWallet, click GET STARTED, scroll down to Create your eWallet today, and click GET STARTED again. These funds will allow your TT to buy books all by themselves! Cash is also an option if you don't want to set up an eWallet.

Race and Special Education - A SEPAC talk

Join SEPAC SOMA and Dr Kevin Gilbert, SOMSD Assistant Superintendent of Access & Equity, on February 16 at 7:30pm for its annual look at the intersection of race and special education in our school district. BTB is back for Spring! Claw back an added 1h10mins to your day by signing your TT up for Beyond The Bell. Classes start March 16 and go until May 12. But here’s the thing… REGISTRATION OPENS ON THURSDAY AT 7AM SO YOU BETTER LOG IN NOW IF YOU WANT TO EVEN STAND A CHANCE OF GETTING A SPOT. More info here.

A Family Event In Celebration of Black History Month

On Saturday, February 11, come celebrate West African culture and folklore at the Hilton Library. There will be alongside bilingual (French) storytelling, arts & crafts, and music and dance. The event goes from 12-1:30pm and is part of the Black History Month celebrations in Maplewood.
