Come celebrate (or cry... we don't judge) over the first day of school with a cup of coffee on us! 

Meet on the Tuscan Front Lawn on Thursday, September 5th right after drop off (8:53am). We will ahve hot and iced coffee, served by the fabulous people at The General Store.

Dear new and returning Tuscan Tigers and families, 

Hope everyone enjoyed summer and is ready for an amazing year filled with new adventures in learning, friendships and fun! I’d like to welcome to our executive board–Lauren, Doug, Lela, and Julie, read more about them here. 

Do you know our school motto? It’s R.O.A.R. – Respect Others, Act Responsibly. Let’svR.O.A.R. together every day! We have a ton of great events lined up and participating in them is a great way to get to know your teachers, staff, and families who make up the caring community that Tuscan is known for. 

Enjoy Welcome Back Coffee on our front lawn after drop-off on the first day of school. Meet and greet our Tuscan Tiger and families, Thursday, September 5th, 2024.

Our school day starts at 8:53 am and ends at 3:23 pm.

For new families, if your child is not taking a bus, our drop off/pick up is on the blacktop outside of the building. Everyone will look for your teacher’s and grade’s sign and line up. Families and caregivers with K-2 children must walk with their children to the blacktop and remain with them until the teacher arrives. Parking a few blocks away and walking up to school is your best bet. The Green Drop off/Pick up Zone is ONLY for Grades 3-5 near the Teacher's lot. For extra safety and well-being of our students and staff, please follow and respect our arrival/dismissal procedures here.

As we move into the final week of the 2023-2024 School Year, I wanted to reflect on the past year and send my sincere appreciation for allowing me to lead this community. 

Becoming the PTA President was never on my wish list, but when the opportunity presented itself, I took the position so I could advocate for and reach out to families who felt like their voices were not being heard. 

Being a creative person with zero management experience, I was highly nervous, but I approached every challenge presented to me and did my best to find solutions. Having been at Tuscan in the “before times” (as I like to call the pre-pandemic years), I also had a goal to bring back some of our Tuscan traditions and events that had gotten lost over the years. I learned SO MUCH this year, more than I could have possibly imagined.

Our annual Tuscan Rainbow Photo is Monday, June 17th! Please wear your grade colors and bring your smile!

If you're new to the rainbow tradition, check out last year's photo as well as this adorable video! 

About those grade colors: 

K - Purple

1st - Blue

2nd - Green

3rd - Yellow

4th - Orange

5th - Red (5th graders will receive a free red class shirt as part of their year-end festivities)

End-of-year gifts for Tuscan's specials teachers and staff

Your class coordinators will be in touch about optional $10 donations to your teachers

But please remember our specials teachers (art, music, PE, library), special education resource teachers, academic interventionists, social workers, building staff (main office, custodial, nurse, etc), crossing guards, and lunch aides. They have broadened minds, added color and song, mended hearts and scrapes, cleaned messes, filled tummies and kept our kiddos safe. 

Now it's time to show your appreciation by donating to our End-of-Year gift fund for our Tuscan specials teachers and staff. 

Any donation amount is appreciated (yes, even $5), but PLEASE donate before Thursday, June 13.

ARE YOU READY? The Tuscan Fair is BACK! 

Saturday, May 18 

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tuscan Blacktop and Front Lawn 

Rides, bounce house, games, prizes, crafts, food, music, cake walk, sensory zone, bubbles, and MORE! 

Purchase your discounted ticket packs May 15, 16, and 17 on the blacktop during drop off and pick up. 

Discounted tickets are 50 for $10. Day-of tickets are 40 for $10. 

We also need VOLUNTEERS! PLEASE consider signing up for a slot at our Tuscan Fair! 

Our volunteers are the ones who really make our events a huge success. 

We need LOTS of you (Seriously, there's more than one page of slots!). Slots are 45 minutes, so you can still enjoy the fair. Please do what you can.

We also need a 5th Grade Games Coordinator to help organize the 5th Graders who run the carnival games. Running the games at Tuscan Fair is a Tuscan tradition, but we need your help!

Can't volunteer the day of? We need help selling pre-sale tickets and setting up on Friday after school. We also need COOLERS and CAKE donations.
